Do You Worry?
Think about it: you imagine what you DON’T want to have happen, and you worry about that. Not a good idea – among other things, it’s not good for your health!
80 to 90 percent of the things we tend to worry about never happen, so why bother? Even Mark Twain said, “I’ve had a great many terrible worries in my life, most of which have never happened.”
I have a mantra when I begin to worry, and I think: “Everything’s going to be fine. Everything’s going to be fine. Everything’s going to be fine. It will all work out. It will all work out. It will all work out.” That’s my defense for when the worrying man shows up here in my head:
Give it a shot – come up with your mantra to defend yourself against worry. See what happens.
